Closed Books Dog Groomer based in Bentley, Doncaster
Deborahs dog grooming is a closed books dog groomers based in Bentley, One to one, home from home grooming experience. I’ve been lucky enough to have built my business solely from word of mouth and I have over a decade of experience working with dogs. I also have a vast variety of qualifications including dog grooming, dog training and behavior, canine nutrition and puppy socialization. And I am dedicated to continuously furthering my training.
Being closed books means I only have appointments for my current clients, which is why I have a waiting list. So if you wish to be considered for my waiting list please read through the following and provide the information below.
In order for my business to continue to run smoothly I have to take clients on that suit my schedule, so I can provide your dog with the best service I can.
**Please read before applying**
Unfortunately I am only accepting SMALL BREEDS onto my waiting list, as I am no longer accepting medium/large breeds, please note I am accepting poodle crosses such as cockapoos as their are generally a lighter dog. I also do not accept temperamental or aggressive dogs due to being a one girl band and injury to me, unfortunately requires me to close.
I do not offer day care and I cannot keep your dog longer than their appointed time, so dogs will need to be picked up promptly. (Appointments usually take 1 or 2 hours depending on the breed of dog).
I will always groom dogs by doing what is best for the dog depending on the condition their coat is in, whilst trying to work with what the owner wants. But the welfare of the dog is paramount. Knotted and matted coats will result in additional chargers.
Please be mindful that when I am grooming your dogs they are coming into my home, so I ask that they are kept on their lead and you ring the doorbell on arrival, Dogs will need be dropped of at the door and unfortunately you can not stay with your dog, and I also do not have anywhere for you to wait. Appointments should be cancelled prior to the appointment time if your dog has fleas or in season. Dogs that come with fleas will unfortunately be sent home and additional charges will apply, as I have to treat and clean down my entire parlor.
For puppies
I highly recommend early introduction to grooming, no matter the breed of dog or coat length. Best practice is shortly after they are fully vaccinated. So please don’t worry if you need to take them elsewhere, if I cannot get your puppy in, in time. So you don’t miss the vital socialization stage.
APPOINTMENT TIMES ARE BETWEEN 9AM AND 3PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
You will be on my waiting list for maximum of a 6-month period and after that you will be you will be taken off, if you wish to be added again please re apply. This is because by that time I will assume you found an alternative groomer.
Unfortunately, I cannot set a time scale on how long you will be on my waiting list, as I can only take on dogs as and when I can.
